What is the PublicEssay Vault?
No Proprietary Lock-In
Your essays are standard Markdown files stored in any folder on your hard drive. You can open, backup, or sync them with Git, iCloud, Dropbox, or any tool you prefer.
Immutable Audit Logs
Every save records a cryptographic entry in your local .revlog.jsonl. When publishing, this log serves as transparent mathematical proof of your human writing journey.
Total Digital Privacy
There are no background telemetry or cloud uploads. An account is only required when you explicitly choose to publish an essay to the public journal.
